Animal Transport

While we stopped documenting the stories of our transports in 2016, we continue to work directly with rescue organizations in getting animals out of high-kill shelters.

And Where Does He End Up?

March 11, 2014 by Animal Resources

By Monday night Max had finally made it to his new forever home – click here to read about the first part of this journey. Through the combined efforts of many people, numerous vehicles, lots of dollars and a lot of stress on folks, where is the first place Max goes to when he gets there? He sits right in front of the stove and watches dinner being made. Of course it might be the warmest place too, as there was snow on the ground and there might have been the smell of something cooking, so instead of exploring his new digs and meeting new family members, both K-9 and human, he just plopped right down and waited, for what I don’t know, maybe to be fed, maybe he still had his ranch instincts where if you didn’t get first dibbs, you missed out on the fixins. Whatever went through his thoughts at that time I am sure it was important, so now we leave him with those thoughts and hope he explores the rest of his new world soon. We are hoping it goes well.

Don’t Come Any Cuter

March 11, 2014 by Animal Resources

Today I picked up these three on their last day – aren’t they all – and you couldn’t fined 3 more different dogs if you looked all day. One was just a love bug; one was kind of nice, but didn’t trust you; and the 3rd one was so stressed and frightened, he couldn’t move. Being all terriers, but oh so different. I pulled them then delivered them to a vet office to get all their vet stuff done. In a few days they will be heading up north to a well respected rescue and then in short order on to a forever home. Something these little guys have never had, I am sure.
