Animal Transport

While we stopped documenting the stories of our transports in 2016, we continue to work directly with rescue organizations in getting animals out of high-kill shelters.

Adopt From Rescue Me!

Rescue Me helps people adopt animals from individuals, families, shelters and rescue groups.

We’ve pulled or transported over 3500 animals since 2012 in support of our rescue partners. Scroll down to read the stories behind transports from 2010 – 2016.

On Their Way

December 23, 2014 by Animal Resources

I loaded these two up at a no kill shelter and transported them to a meet up location in central CA. They were great on the ride north and when we got there they were both let out for a potty break; then one was loaded for her trip farther north and the husky was reloaded and we waited for her ride to show. I left the slip lead on him as it was very difficult to get on in the first place. When the other transport showed up, I reached in grabbed the lead and out she jumped and I was standing there holding half of it. She ran around McDonalds for a few minutes then came back. Heart attack time. All ended well and then off she went to a foster home and hopefully gets adopted soon.

Meet Willey

December 20, 2014 by Animal Resources

Today I picked Willey up from a humane society shelter for a rescue that likes to take the more mature dogs and finds them great homes for the amount of time they may have left. Willey looked to be a little bewildered with all the strange people fussing over him, but he was so sweet and gentle. He will be staying in a heated room at the kennel until his ride north is confirmed. I hope it’s not long, for he needs to be settled in and just kicking back and enjoying life. Good luck Willey and have fun.
