Animal Transport

While we stopped documenting the stories of our transports in 2016, we continue to work directly with rescue organizations in getting animals out of high-kill shelters.

And Four More

February 28, 2015 by Animal Resources

Today I met a transport coming down from the Fresno area that brought four dogs from that shelter that I pulled and will transfer to rescues up north to put them on the path to finding them new homes. They wouldn’t have stood a chance at the shelter where they came from. It’s just so overcrowded with more dogs then they can handle. Not a reflection on the shelter, just the area from which they came from. We can’t save them all, but we can save some and that’s what we do.

Just Dumped Along The Highway

February 27, 2015 by Animal Resources

Yep, that’s what they did, just dumped her out on a highway, out in the middle of nowhere. She is gorgeous, very well behaved and is just looking for the right home. Obviously she didn’t come from a good one. What did those people expect her to do to survive, chase rabbits? More than likely coyotes would have taken her down if a good person hadn’t come by, seen her, and called a rescue to come get her. That’s where I came in; I picked her up at a house early in the morning and off we went to one of the best rescues in Southern California. After a bath and getting all prettied up I believe she will be in a forever home within a few days.
