Yep, It Was Cooler In The Shade

Today I picked up this shepherd out in the desert where it was hot, 100 degrees or so. Yes the van had air conditioning, but you have to come out sometime and this lady liked it better in her ride. Since she has major medical that needs to be done before transport north, it will be awhile in the heat before she sees the green grass of the northwest. But her day will come soon. With a name also soon I hope.

Overcrowded Shelter, Lives So Cheap

Today I went to a very overcrowded shelter to get 16, but only 6 were left. From the photos you can see what little sweethearts they are and once cleaned up and vetted they will be waiting for their forever home. But it will be out of state as California has too to many dogs now and other places too few. So they will be boarded until their long haul transport departs for the northwest. Our loss, their gain.
