Animal Transport

While we stopped documenting the stories of our transports in 2016, we continue to work directly with rescue organizations in getting animals out of high-kill shelters.

A Broken Leg, We Take Them All

July 25, 2015 by Animal Resources

Yep we picked up these two poodles that had been just totally neglected by someone. One has a broken leg that had never been treated, so it was missing 4 inches of bone that had just disappeared somewhere. Of course the other bone couldn’t support it very well, so it broke too. Neither injury was ever treated. Such pain this little one must have gone through. Well we pulled her and her sister, plus the two shepherd types, and off we went. The first thing that was done was to get the little one to a vet and start treatment. The others will be vetted next week in preparation of their journey north and to their forever homes, soon.

Nearly Journy’s End

July 16, 2015 by Animal Resources

I received a call about two rotts at a shelter that was going to put them down very soon. They were on police hold as they were confiscated from a druggy and were in bad shape. I said I would pull them as soon as I could arrange their pickup and transport; but it took a few days and they put the female down. We did manage to get Journy out and he has issues. Next week his eyes will be operated on and he will be fixed. After that he will go to training for 10 days to 2 weeks to evaluate him. He has a potential adopter waiting, just have to get him ready. And we will.
