What a Journey

March 13, 2012 by Animal Resources

These two are the perfect reason why things must be checked out before I pull dogs from any shelter. Both were pulled from L.A. shelters over a year ago and placed at a “rescue”, which it turns out was all about taking money, but not so much about adoptions. Here they sat, in kennels for a year forgotten about by all but a few. Finally the “rescue” was closed down by the local animal control and all the dogs had to moved or killed. Well the person who put them there took them out and put them in boarding for 2 months waiting to find another rescue. There was none. I came along and arranged for these guys to go to a rescue who I know has an excellent adoption record and that’s where I took them today. I really, really hope these guys find their home soon, they deserve so much better than we have been able to offer in their past. Time will tell.

Meet Noah

March 12, 2012 by Animal Resources

I was contacted by a very nice lady in Carmel, asking if I would pull and transport a dog from the Camarillo shelter to a rescue in the Sacramento area. After I checked out the rescue, whom I found out I knew and had made a previous visit to them, I said yes. I pulled Noah and transported him up there; he was so happy to be out of the kennel and be able to run and do what dogs do when they get to an unknown area. He made friends very fast with the staff and felt right at home within no time. I know that he will get the best of care at Second Chance Rott Rescue. This is his first step, on his way to finding that furever home.
