Today I went to a shelter to pull two dogs and only got one because one was already pulled by rescue. That’s good, at least he got out and is on his way. I pulled the other and he went with another transporter to the vets. I needed to go to a shelter and pick up a pittie that was adopted by some low-life’s, never contacted the shelter about him or him having any issues, just dumped him at a high-kill shelter, I guess to die. Well his micro chip came back to the no-kill shelter and they wanted me to go get him pronto. I did and he is safe and in much better hands than before. Just can’t trust some peeps is what it comes down to.
Second Chance For One, Last Chance For The Other
This morning I was in L.A. bright and early to pick up this little owner surrender named Sonny from his foster mom. Sonny had been with this lady for two weeks and as you can imagine, it was all tears when it was time to go. How anyone could let this little guy go is beyond me and I swear the dog knew he was going away for the last time. Hurt feelings all around. The little pittie pup I pulled for a rescue that already has an adopter waiting for this little guy. As any pb knows he is very lucky to be out and on his way. So many good dogs are dying and we just can’t keep up with it. I like Riverside’s new ordinance on mandatory spay-neuter on pitties; should be on all dogs. Maybe that will be next. I hope so.
