Blind And Badly Neglected

December 26, 2013 by Animal Resources

Today I picked up a blind and severely neglected chow chow from a shelter. He had a massive ear infection that leaking so bad, you wouldn’t believe the smell. His skin condition was horrible and the coat was so matted. The eyes were like two white marbles instead of eye balls. Just unbelievable. How can anyone or anything neglect an animal for so long and allow these conditions to just get worse? All are treatable. A bath and a brush doesn’t cost anything if you do it yourself. The ears are very treatable. The eyes, yes will need to be treated by a vet; but I bet he has never been to a vet, or had any shots or anything else. Some may wonder why you lose respect for your own species. However, as you deal with these types of abuse and neglect cases, you can see that some people have certainly earned it lost.

Black Is Beautiful

December 23, 2013 by Animal Resources

And as you can see, it is. All four of these pups are black and they don’t look like mom at all. Must be the dad played a bigger part in the color selection. But they sure are cute. As you can see from the photos, mom is a fawn and white color mix. She is very, very sweet. Of course the pups are sweet too, but all pups are. Nature doesn’t make an ugly puppy. They are all adorable, at 5 weeks or so who isn’t? They are now on their way to a better life than they left behind. A big thank you to all who played a part in getting them there.
