Today I picked up two dogs from two different rescues and transported them to the Van Nuys airport for their flight to Washington and Oregon. As you can see from the pics, loading is a balancing act of getting the weight properly distributed throughout the aircraft so the pilot can fly a trimmed aircraft. I believe a total of 18 dogs made this trip to various rescues up north. They will be in Oregon in 5 ½ hours where if we had to drive it would be at least 16 hours in the same kennel. Always take the flight, so much easier on the dogs. Loading is also a cooperative effort of all the rescues sending dogs on the flight. We have to help each other to make things go smoothly. But we are used to that in our everyday business of saving these poor guys from the needle. Just another day in rescue.
