In The Arms Of Angels

December 18, 2011 by Animal Resources

On Sunday I drove to Tucson and visited with Amanda at the her house and where she does her rescue work from. I visited the kennel area and we talked about her rescue work in general. She has a nice clean kennel area for the dogs and there were about 10 on site. She does her adoption events at the local Petco and like most rescuers, it been hard this past year with fewer adoption than prior years. Her and Tiffinity have worked very hard in getting the dogs good homes. That’s all any of us can do. One dog at a time.

Pammy’s Second Chance Rescue

December 17, 2011 by Animal Resources

Early morning Saturday I drove to Phoenix, Arizona to meet up with Pam and Glen at the Petco where they were having their normal Saturday-Sunday adoption event. As you can see, the dogs were really getting into it and were excited to be there. Pam and Glen are wonderful folks who truly like being with their dogs. And how things usually go, one got adopted almost right at closing time. Cute little chi that they have had for about a month. I saw that Capone was still with them, I just couldn’t believe that he hadn’t got a home yet. Such a sweet little guy. Loves everyone. Pitties are the hardest to get adopted, but they are the most loving of dogs. Clyde was there too, his sister was adopted a few weeks prior. According to Pam, he really misses her. Too bad they couldn’t have gone together. That’s very hard to do, like wishing for the lottery. I spent Saturday and part of Sunday visiting with them as we had much to talk about. Sunday morning I visited their house and departed for Tucson to meet with the rescues down there. A lot of driving.
