January's Pet Pass Rider - Picasso
I picked up Picasso in San Bernardino, at a home that had taken him in from the streets. He had been badly beaten and left for dead by the side of the road. A nice couple took him in and all is better now; I don’t know if he even remembers it. To see him today you would never know it. I arranged for him to go to a rescue in Arizona as I thought he would have a better chance getting a forever home there as his luck in our area wasn’t the best. All we can do now is wait and see what happens.

Pet Pass Riders - December 23, 2011
Today I needed to be at the shelter no later than 9:00 a.m. to pull two pitties or they were to be killed. So I put other things like Christmas on hold and went to the shelter on time and pulled these guys to get them out before their all important deadline. Thankfully I had two pet passes (thank you Ashley) to pay for this transport as the rescues are pretty tapped out with all the vet bills because of the kennel cough coming out of the shelter. Mary Jane had just completed her meds as she had caught it while there. So I pulled them and transported them to Linda Blair's rescue in Acton and waited while they settled in and acclimated somewhat to their new digs. They are safe for now and we will be working with Linda on finding them there furever home soon.

My Name Is Ralph - August 11, 2011
I was saved from the Camarillo shelter and transported to Huntington Beach to be with Jacqueline, who is an independent rescuer from down in the San Juan Capistrano area. As you can see I was very excited to finally be out of the shelter in Camarillo. Meeting Jackie and all the new surroundings was a bit much for me. Holding still for my pics was also something I was not good at. I wanted everyone to know that my Pet Pass Donor was Lisa K. and I wanted to say thank you with a big sloppy kiss if I could. You are the only reason I am alive today. Without you doing what you did, I sadly would not be here and this meeting would not be taking place. As I move on to my forever home, through Jackie’s help, I will always remember you and what opportunities you have provided. Hugs and kisses, Ralph.
Poor Ralph - Update: August 17, 2011
Last week I transported Ralph down to Huntington Beach to his new foster mom, Jackie, and everything was fine. We had Ralph fixed prior to his going to foster and there didn’t seem to be any issue, well there was. Ralph developed an infection where they removed certain parts and we had to rush back down to pick him back up and take him to the vets that did theoriginal surgery. Ralph will remain up here with us for a few days recovering, then we will take him all the way back down again to his foster mom, hopefully fully recovered. But he seems to enjoy the long car rides so at least he gets something out of it.
